I saw some red winged blackbirds the other day and they were so pretty, I thought I should make some with my punch. I know I've seen this idea done before, and I don't know who to give credit to.
There's a lot of texture on this card that you might not see well in the photo. I embossed the background black piece with lattice and the black cardstock used for the bird and photo corner is textured paper. I also crimped the DAFFODIL DELIGHT piece.
This is my second attempt at brayered sky, the tutorial I learned from Just Add Ink. The branches are from Embrace Life.

What a great card! I am definitely going to have to try the red winged blackbird. I like your crimped yellow accent too. And the brayered sky. OK, so I like everything about this card!

Beautiful card! I love the vibrant colors. Red wing blackbirds are favorites of mine from growing up in Wisconsin. You did a great job with the bird punch.
